We are seeking a skilled Failure Analysis Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about investigating product issues, improving reliability, and driving continuous improvement across electronic manufacturing processes.
Job Purpose
The Failure Analysis Engineer will identify, analyze, and resolve product failures to improve product performance and reliability. This position is responsible for conducting detailed investigations, preventing recurrence of issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support overall product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed failure analysis on electronic components and systems to determine root causes.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to evaluate product failures and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Implement and maintain failure analysis processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Present findings and recommendations to engineering teams and leadership.
- Maintain clear documentation of procedures, results, and corrective actions.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in FA technologies and techniques.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to support new product development and improvements.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians as needed.
- Ensure all activities comply with industry standards and company policies.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in failure analysis within the electronics or semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with analytical tools such as SEM, EDX, and XRF.
- Familiarity with reliability testing and environmental stress screening methods.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and FA software tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to quality and failure analysis.
- Ability to prepare thorough technical reports.
